PNNL's 163 Teraflop HP cluster is ready for users
Presentation Information
When: November 19, 2008, 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Kevin Regimbal will talk about Chinook, PNNL's new HP 2310-node Opteron InfiniBand cluster. Chinook has more than a petabyte of scratch storage and provides nearly a Terabyte per second of aggregate disk I/O performance to enable large computational chemistry calculations. Kevin will discuss how the scientific community can access Chinook as a part of the EMSL National Scientific User Facility focused on environmental molecular science. Come hear about Chinook and how to become an EMSL user. (Video - Chinook: Evolution of a New Supercomputer at a National Scientific User Facility)
